WHAT WAS COMMON GROUND ALL ABOUT
Hair, culture, and connection — inside the first Common Ground night.
We’ve been super quiet on here, bc tbh it’s been a bit hectic and sub took the back seat while we got our shit together. Thank you for hanging on in there, but also, did you even notice?! :)
On Tuesday night we had a soft launch in Shoreditch, something small but powerful began.
The first Common Ground gathering brought together hairdressers, artists, editors, photographers, and friends who are shaping the culture of beauty today.
Hosted at the awesome Studio Studios, with the best host Jadah Dale the evening was about connection, conversation, and community — no panels, no pressure, just people and energy.
THE AGENDA
Well there was none, but just to get a gorge bunch of people together for a chat, a drink and some food. We’ve always felt there’s a need for spaces like this in the hair world — places where conversation flows as freely as creativity. So we made it happen.
From spontaneous chats about craft to deeper talks on culture and care, the night felt like a reminder of what makes this industry special: its people.
No rules, no hierarchy. Just a shared understanding that we’re all part of something bigger — and that creativity grows stronger together.
It doesn’t stop here — this is just the beginning. What’s coming next has even more purpose, with a focus on giving back to the hair world and growing together as one community.
WORDS FROM JADAH AT STUDIO STUDIOS
“We need spaces like this in the hair world.”
Simple words, but they sum up everything Common Ground stands for.
This was just the beginning.
Common Ground will continue to grow — through gatherings, conversations, and collaborations that keep the culture of hair connected - think events for salon owners, freelancers, brands managers and hair moms.
If you were there, thank you for showing up and showing love. If you missed it, you’ll want to be at the next one.

Until next time,
